The NAVAIR Cyber Warfare Detachment (CWD) was developed to coordinate all cyberspace-related acquisition activities within the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) to address both deliberate acquisition, and urgent and emergent “rapid response” warfighting needs.  The Navy and Marine Corps, in support of the Unified Combatant Commander/Component Commander tasking, require material solutions that are resilient to cyber threats as well as interoperable full-spectrum cyber warfighting capabilities. To this measure they have established a BOA with Peregrine to provide expertise and technical experience.

Peregrine provides supplies and services required by the NAVAIR CWD to rapidly research, develop, mature, procure, integrate, train, support and sustain cyber resilient and full spectrum cyber warfighting capabilities for platforms, weapons, sensors, communications and networks, computing systems, mission systems, support equipment, logistics and maintenance systems and ashore and afloat enterprise systems. These solutions are needed to support all phases of acquisition programs, operational field demonstrations, prototyping, experiments, operational assessments, extended user evaluations, and fleet/force deployments. Additionally, these supplies and services are required to meet critical gaps in the Air-to-Air Warfare (AAW) Strike Warfare (STW), Surface Warfare (SUW), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Expeditionary and Amphibious Warfare (EXW/AMW), Irregular Warfare (IW), Electromagnetic Warfare (EMW), Offensive and Cyber Operations (OCO) and Information Warfare (IW) including non-kinetic cyber warfare effects and kinetic effects.


NAVAIR CWD requirements are grouped into Industry Pools that align with BOA holders’ industrial capabilities. Peregrine has been determined experienced and is authorized to support requirements solicited for the following Industry Pools:

1. Cyber kill/effects chain warfare ops analysis and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) support



2. Cyber fault mode effects criticality analysis (FMECA) and
CYBERSAFE levels, risk management framework assessment



3. Identification and mitigation of cyber vulnerabilities for aircraft & weapon Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) in a system of systems warfare environment with often intermittent or indirect "connectivity" to other systems



4. Critical access point determination and protection/ detection/response /recovery based on multiple spectrum apertures (including RF, IR, etc.)



5. Cyber-EW convergent capabilities and risk/benefit assessment methodologies within mission kill/effects chain



6. Identification and mitigation of cyber vulnerabilities of maintenance laptops, mission loaders, etc., critical physical and industrial control system interfaces with air vehicles, such as aircraft launch and recovery equipment (ALRE), power and navigation umbilicals, supply chain management and software (SW) development and assurance/ configuration management; battle damage assessment (BDA) and equipment sanitization,disposal and anti-tamper
